Sending copies of files to the coordinator

Please ensure that a copy of each transcribed file is sent to me. If your allocation was more than one scan, please attached all files to one email when the batch is complete. I use the receipt of the file or files as a signal to allocate a further batch.

  1. Open email program with my email address brian.smart@blueyonder.co.uk
  2. Click The Attach button and select the required file(s) from the C:\SPEEDBMD or C:\Program Files\WinBMD\Output folder.
  3. If you would like a different number of scans from the batch you send to me, please indicate the number required on the email.
  4. Please add your full name to the email. This helps me to know who the files are from. Email addresses are not always helpful in this respect.

I will check each  file to ensure that the structure is correct and advise you of any problems that need to be addressed before the file can be uploaded. When I advise that the file is OK, it can be uploaded to FreeBMD. When the file(s) is/are correct I will be able to advise the names of the next allocated scan(s).

Please note that if a period of three months elapses from the date of allocation and I have neither received the file(s), nor been advised of the reason for the delay, I will reallocate them to another transcriber.
